Estonia invests in startups to find a new success story
Estonia does not want to stop on its accomplishments with e-Residency and looks for more solutions to export in the future.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications has initiated a program called Accelerate Estonia to turn its problems into economic development for Estonia.
The government acknowledges that Accelerate Estonia cannot fight against all the existing problems, so the primaries directions were set out.
The program will focus on problem solving both in the public and private sectors, and each of the ideas chosen will receive funding in the amount of EUR 150,000. After that, the teams will be expected to create business plans and attract investors.
The ministry has developed four main ideas. Briefly, they focus on circular economy, cross-border e-CMR, “Know Your Customer” cross-border program and health and pension insurance for e-residents.
More information about each project can be found on the home-page of Estonian Investment Agency.
Initiated by: The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia
