About Markus

As a practising fully qualified lawyer, Markus Tenhagen specializes in commercial and civil law as well as comparative legal issues, particularly the legal practice of liability and damages in Baltic and Scandinavian countries, as well as in Germany. His work reflects a strong focus on international and cross-border legal matters. Markus joined Klauberg BALTICS Attorneys-at-Law in 2024 during his legal apprenticeship and is now based in Riga.

Markus studied law at Greifswald University with a focus on comparative and EU law, as well as at Kyoto Sangyo University and the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer. As a student assistant at the Department for Public Law, European Law, and Comparative Law (North-Eastern Europe) at the University of Greifswald, he deepened his expertise in international law.
