About me
I am the managing partner of the law firm Klauberg BALTICS, an attorney at law, and an EU lawyer practicing in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
My legal education includes law studies at the Universities of Hamburg, Heidelberg, and Humboldt University in Berlin with German law degree, as well as an LL.M. from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. In addition, I earned an MBA from the Baltic Management Institute in Vilnius.
With more than 25 years of professional experience in the Baltic region and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), I lead an international team of attorneys that advises clients from various industries, as well as public institutions and private individuals.
My core areas of expertise include corporate law/M&A, EU law, banking and finance law, international succession, insolvency/restructuring, and litigation/arbitration. Cross-border litigation is a particular focus of my legal practice and academic interest.
As a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR (representing Ukraine), a council member of the European Maritime Law Organization, and a member of the organizing committee for the annual international conference Baltic Arbitration Days, international commercial law and the disputes arising from it are key areas of my work and my academic interest.
My active memberships include the Swiss Arbitration Association, EMLO (European Maritime Law Organization), the ATLO Transport and Logistics Law Network, the Conference Bleue network for pharmaceutical, health, and medical law, the DNJV (German-Nordic Lawyers' Association), and ICC Ukraine.Languages
